Terms of Use

Libreture's terms and conditions of use.

By using Libreture you agree to be bound by the following rights and responsibilities.

Scope of the Service

Libreture is designed and built to allow the storage, management and retrieval of legitimately owned, purchased or received e-books.

Libreture uses common technologies and is designed to work in as many web browsers as possible. However, I make no guarantees it will work with all browsers on all devices.

Your Rights

You can choose to remain anonymous. The only joining requirements are payment, an username, a password and a working e-mail address.

You have the right to access and download your own e-books from the site at any time, subject to reasonable constraints on bandwidth.

You can close your account at any time by using the Delete Account facility. You're account will remain accessible until your next renewal date, at which point all your data and e-books will be permanently deleted.

Your private library and locked books will not be intentionally shown to other users or shared with third parties.

Your personal data, including your browsing history, e-mail address and identity will not be shared with anyone without your consent.

When logged in, you will not be served any third-party content (scripts, cookies, or images) other than Twitter's Tweet and Facebook's Like buttons.

If there is a significant outage, you will receive a full explanation of the circumstances and what measures will be taken to prevent a recurrence.

If the site ceases operation, you will receive ample opportunity to download your stored books and data.

You have the right to receive an explanation, and when possible advance warning, if your account is suspended or closed for the reasons outlined below.

Any new features that affects your privacy will be strictly opt-in.

You will be treated with respect and discretion.

Responsibilities

You may not make automated requests to the site.

Libreture is for personal use only. Uploading books with the primary goal of promoting commercial interests will be construed as spam and may result in account cancellation.

You must not abuse the site by knowingly uploading malicious code, or files from malicious sites, that could harm Libreture or other users.

You may not use the site to harass other users.

You cannot upload pirated or illegally optained e-books to Libreture. Doing so will result in your account being closed and all your files and data being deleted.
